I had disappointing news today. I know, I know... this is a negative statement.
“Isn't this blog
all about you being positive, Jess, and about making happy changes because you are going to
be so annoyingly positive all the time, so you can prove to us that it works? That if you
just talk positive, think positive and expect positive, you will GET positive?”
That’s what it’s supposed to be about. But I am only human, just starting on
this path of improvement and there will be trial and error. So, unless you have
a more positive way to phrase the above message, I really don’t know how to
avoid the negativity.
Well, you guessed by now that not much has changed. Despite
all the positive thinking and affirming… still an empty sack.
I am not sharing this because I need any more pity (although you might want to send flowers I did sob really
hard today). No, I am sharing this because it’s actually Tool Tuesday, this blog is about feeling better but I feel really crap. I committed
to this "improvement plan", for better and for worse.
Setbacks are part of life. Sure, I'd rather open a bottle of
wine, hang on the sofa and watch Oprah while ignoring my family finishing that bottle and a family
size bag of M&M’s...
... but I know from the past that this would only spiral me down further. The self-sympathy can last for days. I need to nip it in the bud, without ignoring my emotions. But also without the bag of M&M’s.
Now, you might have heard of EFT before. It stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. It offers great healing benefits and removes emotional trauma just by tapping on certain acupressure points.
This EFT site has a library filled with tons of movies; there is EFT for anything you can imagine. From ‘erectile dysfunction’ to’ fear of asking’ and from ‘alcohol addiction’ to ‘creating more abundance’. and everything in between. The options are unlimited!
I am pretty proud of myself. I want to crawl in bed, cry and
feel sorry for myself (and I might... just for tonight). But instead of lingering
in my misfortune, I will start tapping instead. I will work on releasing this pain and grief.
But you…. YOU should start tapping for abundance, for greater happiness, for more
passion, to heal your cat of her arthritis. Really, it works on everything. What are you still doing here? Watch this introduction clip and start tapping! You can thank me later!
